Bobcats Football News

  • Central Valley

The Bobcats played the Cougars October 17th in Callaway. They got their first win with a final score of 58-22.
They played great and came out strong to get a win before the season was over. They have worked hard since the very beginning of the season. The coaches are very proud of their hard work, no matter what the outcome was after the game.

Cade Connell said, “The strenghts that I have are good hands and I am relatively tall. And I have a good arm and know the game pretty well. My challenges are not backing dow n from a hit, being that I’m so small.”
Everbody was very excited for the Bobcats on their win and hard work to earn it.

  • Ansley/Litchfield

October 10th, was the Bobcat’s homecoming game. The football team played Ansley/Litchfield. They are highly ranked and a tough team to play against. They played hard and kept up with them. “My strength would probably be knowledge of the game, believe it or not. My weakness would be size. I’m big compared to freshman, and compared to everyone else, I’m a whole lot smaller,” said Blake Schwarz. They will return to practice next week with a new determination, to be victorious next week.

  • Amherst

The South Loup Bobcats fought hard but lost on Friday night October 3rd’s football game against the Amherst Broncos. The football team avoided the shut out. The final score was 48-12.

“Some strengths I have to have is to play an offensive line and defensive line. You have to be fast. You have to get a good block and do your job right so you can help your team score a touchdown,” said Brandon Moninger.

Although the Bobcats suffered a loss, with determination and more practice, they will be sure to do their best in the upcoming games.
